Undulating figure of eight walk exploring the Warley and Trimmingham areas of Halifax. Starts with free parking in the historic and picturesque conservation village of Warley. Heads up a very steep lane (so steep it has an iron hand rail set into the wall) and reaches its highest point at Roils Head Road. Enjoy some great views. From here decend the cat steps and cross Stock Lane to what looks like a private gated drive. Follow the cobbled lane down and follow signposted path past the sheep fields. Dogs can stop for a drink and bathe at the 'doggy spa' on route, you'll see the sign at stream bridge. Continue along, down a cobbled private drive to reach 'The Peacock' pub. Stop for a drink if desired as this marks the walks lowest point of the walk. Cross 'Windleroyd Road' and proceed up Brow Foot Gate Lane, being mindful of the one-way blind bend road, stick left so you can be seen by local traffic. At the pillared barrier turn left up Churn Lane. Turn left after sheep field and head down lane for great viewing spot. Descend Stock Lane back to Warley.
