This running challenge is about doing as many laps as you can of the route in either; 1, 2, 3, 4 hours. You can decide the time before hand or keep going if after each hour that passes.

Rules:

1) You have to start and finish each loop from the big boulder/ rock situated by The Hawse entrance and where The Volunteer's Path & Piper's Walk join (south of the valley).

2) Use a timer or a watch to see exact time to the second.

3) Let say you decide to run for 1 hour. If you haven't touched the boulder/rock when the hour has passed, the loop will not count, as for the official leaderboard results.

Before you run, I advice you to walk the route to familiarise yourself with it so you do not take any wrong turns.

All routes can be downloaded to your Fitness Watch, if it support such i.e. GPX, FIT etc for Garmin watches.

Good luck and don't forget to post your results!

About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
