1. Start at the War Memorial, located at the junction where Ferryhill Road meets Main Road. Head east along the Fife Pilgrims Way, which is clearly signposted.

2. Passing under the railway, the route then follows the coast until it reaches Ferryhill Road again, just ahead of the junction with Hope Street.

3. Take a right onto Hope Street, and head up into Inverkeithing. Continue until the mini roundabout in front of the Half Crown, and take a left to head west along Hill Street.

4. Stay on Hill Street, which goes on to become Dunfermline Wynd after the junction with Manse Road. Keep on Dunfermline Wynd, which passes over the M90 motorway.

5. Take a right at the junction with Castlelandhill Road, and then an immediate left onto Lothians View. Still on the Fife Pilgrims Way, at the end of Lothians View the road gives way to a track - keep on this and follow it round to Ferry Toll Road.

6. Take a right onto Ferry Toll Road. Just past the trees on the left, there is a waymarker for the Fife Coastal Path on a lamppost on the left side of the road - follow this until it adjoins Milne Road, at which point take a left and head east.

7. Keep on this route until the roundabout, at which point head straight along King Malcolm Drive until the junction with North Queensferry, which is well signposted. Take a right and follow the B981 back into North Queensferry.

8. Stay on this route, which becomes Main Road, until you're back at the start point.

About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
