Alison,
Do you mean?
The free maps are based on Open StreetMap and its variants (walking, cycling , transport etc). So wherever you are, I suspect those will all be common.
If you are a Premium member, then UK users will have access to the Ordnace Survey maps down to 1:25000.
There is no "right one", it's what suits you best.
HTH,
Mark
Hi Alison,
the default map displayed is the "street map". But you can choose another, it depends on the type of the walk concerned. I suggest to try different maps to see the difference. Even if you use the free version, you have different choices.
I hope it will be helpfull.
Kind regards,
Helene
ps. Actually may be another way of explaining my question is: I'm in England. Which mapping does plotaroute use in England? There is a list of different kinds of maps in the answer to where is the key to the map symbols. So how do I know which mapping to click on the list. Sorry if I'm being a bit dim! 😆 Thank you for any answers. 🙏
How do I know which one of the map keys on the list is the right one?
