Great Prorgam!, I'm a regular user and subscriber for a couple yrs.
I have 2 new devices, an iGPSPORTS 300 and a Bryton Rider 420. I plotted a route, then downloaded to .GPX, track?, Directions? maybe. The route showed on the breadcrumb device (the Bryton) but I kept loosing it on the iGPSPORTS color mapping device. But neither gave me navigation prompts.
I looked into route vs track so you don't have to explain it to me. Just tell me what are the best settings when I download a .GPX file, then upload to device, so I'll get turn by turn directions and prompts
Did you select "Directions" on the GPX Download page?
Thanks for being subscriber Glenn. The question you've asked is probably best raised with the device manufacturers though. As long as you selected to include Directions on the Plotaroute download screen he GPX file will include waypoints for each of the directions. It then depends on how the device uses this data, which is not something we can dictate.
not dictate :)
Ooops misread, sorry! :(
I got it fixed, the problem was with settings how I exported it from device software to device. Yes, every device is different!! Lots of buttons to learn. I've been going a little crazy buying a bunch of cycle computers trying to find the best one for me.
