Ok thanks for the answer.
Hi Chris - yes, the current Plotaroute web app does require an internet connection, but we have a native mobile app in the pipeline that will include offline voice navigation. We don't have a launch date for this yet, but we're hoping to provide an update on this fairly soon.
;-) Admin will have to answer ...
Plotaroute download > GPS > GPX > Track > Directons.
Locus paid version (classic) by the gpx offers offline TBT.
To utilize all features offered requires sure some study!
Admin will have to answer .... but I believe the mobile app must be online at present, though development towards this goal is ongoing.
I would also say that, again, at present, PR and Komoot are 2 apps with quite different intents .... PR is a far superior route creator, and Komoot is a far superior route follower. There is also the wider issue of "community", which probably favours Komoot (I haven't got involved in that in either app).
I would suggest that subscribing to both gives a win-win.
I find plotaroute excellent and I'm looking to pay for premium as I want to use some features that aren't available on free. However am I right in thinking there's no way to use the map voice / turn by turn navigation offline? If so I think I'll have to choose Komoot which does support it.
Thanks
