We're pleased to announce several new features that we've added to our Route Finder, to make it easier to find great new routes near you.
One of our most voted for Feature Requests has been to add a way of finding routes in your area that involve climbing hills, or more specifically hills of a certain size! You can now do this with a brand new Total Ascent Filter that we've added to our Route Finder - we'll search for routes in the area that have a total ascent between whatever range you choose. Great for finding those hilly training routes or just something to use as a challenge.
We've also made some changes to help you find some of the most popular routes in your area. Our new Route Popularity Filter can be used to show only the most popular routes in the search results.
Furthermore, we've added more information to the infotip that is displayed when you move you mouse over one of the map markers, so you can get a overview of each route's key data without having to navigate away from the search map, including a photo where available. And to make it easier to upload photos, we've added a link to do this on your My Routes page.
There are now almost 1.5 million routes available on Plotaroute in over 220 countries worldwide, so head to our Route Finder and maybe discover some great new routes near you.
