I built a route, and now as I refine it I want to try following routes I've used before.
Feels like I want to trace these routes.
So I am going through repeating for each of six routes:
Actually I can only do this five times.
But each time I do this I get a different color for the "overlaid" route. Can I control the color and opacity of these lines? The light yellow and light green lines are difficult to see.
Also, the flow is, open a route and the close it to put it on the map as a trace, and then open the route you're working on (or start a new map).
Since I'm already working on a map, the flow I was looking for was a command that said "Add a route as an overlay" where I would choose a route or a collection of routes that would overlay the route I'm already working on. Also it would be nice if overlays were saved with the route. So that I could work on multiple routes, each with their own overlays.
Thanks for that feedback Wes. We can certainly consider all those points when we next get the opportunity to work on improving the Trace a Route feature. It was initially designed for tracing over just one route, so it we probably need to rethink how it works to better support tracing over many routes.
Thank you for considering. Often when I build a complex route I take inspiration from many previous routes. I often use Caltopo for this, but for my current project it made sense to try Plotaroute.
