We're pleased to announce another useful feature that we've added to our route planner - duplicating waypoints.
The new Duplicate Waypoint feature lets you copy and paste existing waypoints to other locations, so that you don't have to enter and select the details each time. It might be water stops on a race route, viewpoints on a walk or any other tpye of waypoint that occurs in several locations. Once you've added one, you can click the new DUPLICATE button to place a copy of it at another location, which speeds up the process of adding repeated waypoints to the map.
The new Duplicate Waypoint feature works on custom labels and symbols added using the Annotate Map tool and also with waypoints added to the route directions. It's available on both the desktop and mobile versions of the website to all users of plotaroute.com.
A nice addition! A suggestion; any chance of being able to save User-created waypoints between sessions, too? Commonly used ones could then just be selected from this collection.
Great, Thanks.
That's an interesting suggestion Mark. It would probably be a lot of work and complexity to implement though.
