The Epic Ride Weather Android app does not have a direct "open gpx" or "import gpx", it has to be done by other means (ie open in a file explorer and "open with Epic Ride Weather").
I guess it would neater and somewhat simpler to be integrated, but for best benefit that would assume PR is being used much as Strava is, ie the repository for all routes. For those (like me) who's main use of PR is to create routes and download them for use in a GPS device, then the existing method is all that's needed.
Thanks Peder :-) We can certainly contact them and find out more. The process seems quite easy already though - just download the route you want and open it with the app - so I'm not sure what scope there is for making this easier with closer integration. I assume that other apps that it's integrated with give you access to your routes within the weather app itself. I would have thought it would be best to select your route on plotaroute though rather than in the weather app, as you then have access to all the search and filter options we have like route tags. We'll have a closer look into it when we get chance. Thanks again for the tip.
Thanks!
I've been using the app that way, with a downloaded GPX file. Just thought it could be nice if my favorite route planner :-) could have some of the features of the "competitors".
Cheers
Thanks Peder, that looks like a very useful app. I think you can already use the app with plotaroute though - if you download a route in GPX format to your mobile device, you should then be able to open it with the Epic Ride Weather app.
Some of the other routing apps have a direct link to a weather app called "epic ride weather" were you route can be linked directly to the app.
Would be a nice feature for plotaroute as well :-)
Cheers
Peder
