Unfortunately browsers are withdrawing support for plugins, so we’re probably going to have to remove the direct Garmin upload feature from our website fairly soon. However, you should still be able to manually upload a FIT file from your device. I'd need to look at the file itself to work out why it's not uploading - I'll email you with an address to send it to.

Hi, I have tried to upload a route from my Edge 510, but couldn't get it to work whether I tried the choose file option (get error converting fit file message), or the Upload From Garmin Device option - I saw the note about Chrome, so did try this via IE, and it asked me to download Garmin Communicator Plugin, but that failed. Is there anythign else I should be trying to get this to work?
We are pleased to announce that you can now upload routes directly from compatible Garmin devices, like the popular Forerunner or Edge models. The new feature (currently in Beta release) provides an easy way of uploading routes recorded on your device in TCX or FIT formats and also uploading courses that you have transferred to your device in CRS format.
To access the new Garmin upload feature, select "Upload a Route" from the "More" menu in the route planner. If you don't already have it, you'll be prompted to download the Garmin Communicator browser plugin. Once this is installed, uploading routes from your Garmin device is a breeze.
As part of these changes, we've also added a new option to the Settings, so that you can choose your preferred date format for displaying activities read from your Garmin device.
