Oh thanks, that's perfect! I wasn't aware of this option, but this indeed is exactly what I was looking for. Couldn't be happier!
Hi Vinay - OpenCycleMap is already an option (select Cycle Map from the list of Map Types).
It would be nice if the software could show the opencyclemap from openstreetmap. If you zoom into The Netherlands, you'll notice the so called "knooppunten" (translated: nodes). If you want to go somewhere (or just ride a loop), you figure out which nodes you have to pass and you just follow the little signs that point you to your next node. It is nice and fun (especially if you leave it up to the kids to point you in the right direction, but the downside is that when you miss a sign it can be a bit of a hassle to get back on track. So with the tech we have now, it is nice to use your GPS watch (or whatever you use) for backup. So in order to plan a route in there, it is nice to have the opencyclemap for planning.
Workaround (for those on this forum who may like to come and ride bikes over here), plan your route on https://www.anwb.nl/fietsroutes/fietsknooppuntenplanner, download the .gpx and if you're not happy yet, upload this .gpx to plotaroute.com and modify at will. It works fine but (especially when you want to plan it in a Suunto watch like I'm using), this makes for quite a few steps.
So I admit urgency may be low, but if it could be realized at some point it would be really nice to have.
