When I create a route collection I can add some routes, but not all of them. The search functionality does not find all the routes. Are the routes that you can add to a collection somehow filtered?
The documentation says: "you can only add your own routes to a collection, not those belonging to other people". In my case all the routes I want to add are created by me.
Weirder is that I can add a route that is not mine! Namely a route named 'Horsley Road Loop' created by 'John Piears'. This route has ID 1.
Hi Florian - for some reason, some unprintable characters had been appended to the beginnning of the names of some of your routes, so that's why they weren't coming up in the search results. I'm not sure how this happened - did you rename or edit some of them recently? I've corrected them on the database so they should come up in the search results now.

Hi John, Thanks for your swift reply. I did indeed rename these routes recently (yesterday evening to be exact). I can now add them to my collections.
I can however still add other people's routes. And even edit them. I have not tries saving of course. You may want to look into this.
Glad to hear it's ok now. Can I ask how you renamed the routes please - was it from the My Routes page and was it on a mobile device or using a desktop computer? It'll help us investigate the issue further.
I can't reproduce the other problem though where it is suggesting other people's public routes rather than just your own routes. Just to clarify, you can edit any public route on the site, but you wouldn't be able to overwrite it - you'll be prompted to save the edited route to your own account when you select Save.

I can't remember how I renamed the routes. It was definately while using a desktop computer and I assume I viewed the route and then clicked the Rename link that's presented next to the route's name.
To add someone else's route, I do the following:
I tried editing and saving the Horsley route and indeed the software allows me to edit, but I have to save it as copy into my own account. So that comment I made was due to my unfamiliarity with the software.
Many thanks, that helps.
