Sounds like my sort of routes! Thanks for this suggestion Mat. It really comes down to whether a global dataset is available for this data and how much this would cost to set up. We've already got a Feature Request (number 10) to do the same for cafés, so I've amended this now to cover a range of POI's. Hopefully this will be something we can look into at some point.

Just whilst I'm here, for anyone in the Suffolk, Essex, Norfolk areas I make all my pub walking routes public and tag them with Pub!
I've got 15 so far but I'll keep striving for more! :)
Hello,
Whether I'm on holiday or at home I like to plot walks to new and interesting pubs. I am typically in rural areas so I have found plotaroute invaluable for this purpose. It's brilliant that they are visible when zoomed in on the OSM and Google maps. I then cross reference them with what's on google and decide if it's somewhere I would like to try. Currently I have to begin building a walk in a general direction and scroll around the map until I find a pub then I finalise the walk.
What would be super helpful though is if I could tick a button that made the little pint icon and name visible at minimal levels of zoom. Then I would know there was something in that area to consider trying. I could cross reference it with Google (extra points for including a link to the google business entry, pub website or tripadvisor etc) and then build the walk accordingly.
Cheers
Mat
