You can manaully place photos at any point on the route, or indeed elsewhere on the map, but not via GPS. To upload and place photos click the PHOTOS option in the route planner when editing your route. After a photo has been uploaded it can be located on the map (and removed if required) by clicking the marker icon at the top of the photo.

Thank you admin!
1. Can you place photos along the specific route via GPS?
2. Can you manually place photos along the route?
YES - problem solved!!!! - I must congratutate you and your team for your fast and effective resolution of this issue.
Thanks

Hi Ron - I think we've managed to fix the issue you reported about problems after moving the mouse over a photo icon. You may need to clear your browser's cache or wait 24 hours for the change to take effect.

Thanks for flagging this up Ron. I'll have a look into it and get it fixed.

I'm having a problem with the add photo feature - all's well on the plotaroute web site, but when I generate a code and add it into my website (www.RonsSpot.uk) things are ok untill I move the cursor over a photo icon. The cursor changes from a finger to a hand and I'm limited to what I can do until I refresh the screen - I have created a post (test) on my site to illustrate the issue. Any advice welcome.
Thanks
Ron
Ps. running wordpress 4.7.5
Hi - I'm pleased to say that you can already upload photos to share with your routes. This facility was introduced in the latest upgrade to the site which we released a couple of weeks ago. You can upload photos in the route planner - click the PHOTOS option in the action panel in the bottom right corner of the map. You can also locate photos on the map if you like, with clickable icons, and add captions.
This is an example of a route with photos: Kilimanjaro Machame Route

This has not been mention yet and hope it can come out soon! Pisca, Flickr has these features but as powerful as Plotaroute if it can happen!
Why its needed?
Photos of routes can be taken and hiker can see an entire trail and find out if they are fit enough to hike it. Sometimes one of two photo are not enough and this might encourage others to make use of the geo tagging cameras and phones. Thank you!
