We have just released the latest upgrade to plotaroute.com, which introduces an option to highlight hills on the route map with different colours - red for uphill and green for downhill. The darkness of the colour indicates how steep the incline is, with darker colours representing steeper sections. This was one of the most popular requests on our Feature Requests list, so thank you to everyone who voted for this.
The new option is available on the Route Listing page after saving your route - you can find the route listing for your route by searching for the route using the Search Box at the top of most pages or by clicking the "View" link for the relevant route on your home page. To turn on the colouring of hills, select "HILLINESS" from the Options menu above the map.
