When downloading a route directly to my garmin, is it possible to set the color. Currently they are a very light blue and I have to change the color on the GPS device.
Its not a major problem, but if there is a way
Thanks
Hi Derrick - sorry, we don't have a way of doing this. We would need to look into it to see if it is even possible. I'll add it to our Feature Request list.

Is there a way to make the route color black on the satellite map? It comes out orange on the color map then when I print in black and white it disappears.
Hi Rozy - You can change the colour of the route line in the route planner Settings (click the gear icon in the top right corner of the route planner page).

Yay!! Thanks a lot!
I am also suffering the route color on my Garmin watch (Fenix 6 Pro) (automaticly uploaded from Plotaroute), it is red as the other road on the map of my Garmin (it is difficult to differentiate). As by Derrick (the topic opener below) it is light blue, there should be reason why Plotaroute generates the gpx in two different ways.
Dear Plotaroute team, could you investigate what is this reason, please? Thank you!!
I'm trying to post four different routes with four different colors for a organized ride, but it always defualts to blue. How do I change this?
Thanks, Mike
In standard gpx nothing is provided for color transfer.
Apps (as Garmin) add the color in an own extension.
No gpx color standard means no uniformity either.
Plotaroute does not add the Garmin color extension.
So use Mapsource or Basecamp to add the color.
The extra in extension looks like this.
<trk>
<name>xxx</name>
<extensions>
<gpxx:TrackExtension xmlns:gpxx="http://www.garmin.com/xmlschemas/GpxExtensions/v3">
<gpxx:DisplayColor>Magenta</gpxx:DisplayColor>
</gpxx:TrackExtension>
</extensions>
