Hi Toshi - I think you may need to use Garmin Basecamp or MapSource software to load the route first before transferring it to your device. I came across tbis forum topic though where people were discussing lots of problems they had getting routes to load onto a Nuvi 2460 - http://forums.gpsreview.net/discussion/22707/import-gpx-routes-to-nuvi-2460, so I think it may be a bit tempermental.
If anyone else has experience loading routes to load onto a Nuvi 2460 device, it would be great if you could post any advice here.
Thanks,
John
Still not able to get this to work :( This is a great site but ultimately of little value if I can't get the route to transfer to GPS so I can follow it.
I can create a route on plotaroute and either directly download it to my Garmin Nuvi 2460 or save it as a GPX and manually load it to the Garmin. When I do this I get a bunch of points in my favorites list (labeled Turn Right 8 etc). I can also see some of them on the map view as blue flags.
How do I get the Garmin to recognize that these individual points are part of a route? Nothing shows up in Trip Planner.
Thank you!
