Walking Planet - Derwent Valley

Walking planet is a local hiking group for people who like nature, meeting new people and exploring the area together!

We have some fantastic areas on our doorstep from fields to woodland to rivers, and a range of wildlife from squirrels and rabbits to deer and, of course, the Red Kites.

Where possible, we try to keep the walks local to The Derwent Valley, to avoid driving and enjoy the gorgeous countryside on our doorstep.

Most walks last between 1 to 2 hours.
