CHALLENGE - The Dillon Family's Great Divide Cycling Challenge

On 1 July 2022, Ricky Dillon, his twin brother Gavin and dad Barry, 70, set off on a on a 2,700 mile off-road bike ride called The Great Divide Mountain Bike Route. The bike ride starts from Banff Canada and follows the Rocky Mountains through America, ending on the Mexican Border in Antelope Wells in New Mexico. The family will be wild camping along the way (with motel pit stops when needed!) and expect the journey to take approx. 3.5 months.

They embarked on this epic challenge to raise vital funds for Hospiscare Devon, the UK hospice charity that cared for their wife and mum, Carole, in the last weeks of her life during the COVID-19 pandemic. This map is designed to chart their progress!
