    A whole load of Flandrien in Northants and Warwickshire!

    Starting and finishing from The New Inn, Middleton Cheney. Along the way you will see wide open vistas, encounter the mighty Edge Hill and a dizzying number of changes in direction along quiet lanes.

    For the first 45kms the route is relatively placid but look out for crosswinds along the open-sided lanes after Chesterton Windmill, and near Lighthorne Heath.

    After the climbs of Edge Hill, Avon and Burton Dassett the ride kicks across the Northants border and includes around 8kms of ancient cattle drover's trackways. (Be sure to have spares and tools as well as food and drink because of these!)

    A relentless amount of short, sharp hills and descents will require you to careful judge your pace. The last drover's trail - 2km long emerging next to Sulgrave manor - will sort out who has anything left in the tank ahead of the snappy climb into Greatworth.
