It would be useful if you could set an average speed for the route, so that it can be used for a virtual partner on Garmin devices.

Thanks for the suggestion Nathan.  We'll look into it and see what we can do.

Following the suggestion below, we've now added support for the Garmin Virtual Partner feature, so you can now specify the speed or pace you want to set when downloading a route to load onto your Garmin.  Choose the TCX or CRS formats to do this when downloading.

I noticed that the calculated speed through the route is somewhat random around the average rather than adjusted by inclination.

The site www.bikeroutetoaster.com has an excellent tool for calculating the time (and speed) of a route based on flat speed, climbing speed and downhill speed which I find rather accurate when I input the right numbers for myself.

Perhaps something similar could be done here, which would be a great feature. Even better, you could calculate relative speeds for the whole route and the adjust it to the given speed average.

Hi Dimitris - Thanks for the suggestions.  We would definately like to add a tool to forecast speed and times for a route at some point - it's on the list!
