The penultimate stage of the Lilyroo Ride, travels along the second half of the scenic Great Ocean Road from Apollo Bay to Sorrento. Like Day 5, Day 6 is predominantly undulating. However, with approximately 750m less vertical climbing it will certainly be less taxing on our riders legs.

The peloton follows the windy, undulating and breathtaking Great Ocean Road out of Apollo Bay through Skenes Creek and Wye River, towards Lorne for our first stop by the Lorne Surf Life Saving Club. Leaving Lorne we pass Aireys Inlet, Bells Beach and Jan Juc into Torquay and stopping along The Esplanade.

Our peloton heads North out of Torquay along the Surf Coast Highway before turning right along Lower Duneed Road through Barwon Heads, Ocean Grove and onto Queenscliff where we hop off our bikes and onto the Queenscliff Sorrento Ferry across Port Phillip Bay from the Bellarine Peninsula to Mornington Peninsula.

A short 1.5km ride from the ferry terminal through Sorrento to our accommodation at the Whitehall Guesthouse caps off what promises to be a spectacular day.

    CALCULATE CALORIES

    About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
